Celebrating film making talent from around the world
The UK Film Festival aims to champion great films but in particular is seeking work from those film makers who might not yet have had the chance for a prestigious public viewing of their work.
We celebrate the cultural diversity of films made in the UK and welcome films from all over the World.
The Festival begins on November 15th 2012.

Events

After an incredibly successful first year the UK Film Festival is proud to announce that the next festival will start on November 15th 2012.

In 2011 we received films from 39 countries! The final selection was stunning. We congratulate all the winners and those superb films that were screened as official selection. Check out the list of winners on the awards page and the official selection list on the festival programme page.

Tickets

If you want to attend the screenings please email hello@ukfilmfestival.org letting us know how many tickets you want (10 pounds on the door). Naturally those whose films we are showing will receive a limited number of complimentary tickets for your screening.

Scriptwriting Competition

We are proud to announce that we will be running a 3 minute or less Script Competition in 2012.
Please go to 3 min Script Competition – top left on the home page.

Pick up a camera. Shoot something. No matter how small, no matter how cheesy, no matter whether your friends and your sister star in it. Put your name on it as director. Now you're a director. Everything after that you're just negotiating your budget and fee.
James Cameron
In England, I'm a horror movie director. In Germany, I'm a filmmaker. In the US, I'm a bum.
John Carpenter
Perhaps it sounds ridiculous, but the best thing that young film makers should do is to get hold of a camera and some film and make a movie of any kind at all.
